Environmental Intern
TCM’s environmental intern will be a student at the University of Toledo. They will commit to one semester of work with TCM (either Summer 2025 or Fall 2025). Their primary responsibility will be supporting the environmental projects on TCM’s property, including but not limited to native gardening and forest restoration. The intern will report to TCM’s Building & Maintenance Committee Chair and work closely with volunteers associated with TCM’s environmental projects.

Responsibilities
• Spend approximately 2-5 hours per week assisting with the current implementation of environmental projects on TCM’s property
• Work with volunteers and staff from the University of Toledo when necessary to plan and implement environmental projects on TCM’s property
• Collect, organize, and present environmental data on TCM’s property (in designated areas), such as types of plant life and care plans for existing and future plant life, to the TCM Building & Maintenance Committee Chair during the internship and to the TCM Board at the completion of the internship
• Create a two-year calendar for beginner gardeners and volunteers that will assist TCM in maintaining the native gardens and forest restoration efforts on TCM’s property (including names, location, and care plans for each species)

• Environmental intern may coordinate volunteers to assist with responsibilities
• No smoking or firearms permitted on TCM’s property
• No illegal drugs or consumption of alcohol permitted on TCM’s property
• $1000 will be granted to intern upon completion of this semester project
